Hi. Can we have a garage sale and raise money to send to the poor people of Haiti?
My mom is willing to lead it. The fifth graders that want to be involved with it by making posters to advertise. The whole school could donate stuff to sell and we could have it on a weekend.

Yes, Michael, what a great idea. I will speak to OConnell about it first. I am sorry we have not discussed the disaster in class….please bring it up. I know there is a lot to dicuss and with the caring heart of the class, we may need to talk about the event together and remind ourselves how fortunate we are and how we might help them.
